SENDING SMOKED SALMON IN MAINLAND UK
We are still sending smoked salmon in mainland UK (Except Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland). It is advisable to place your orders early and pick a delivery date one or two days before you really need it to avoid any disappointment. We cannot deliver on a Monday or a Saturday, please choose from Tuesday through to Friday. In this difficult time for transport, please expect delays, when ordering give us clear instructions where to leave parcels if no one is in to receive the delivery.
It is well worthwhile to set up an account with us, which will store your contact details and those of your friends who you might want to send to, this is especially helpful when sending to multiple addresses. In our new website you can order any amount of our products, to one or more UK addresses.
Please read the FAQ’s page for answers to frequently asked questions. When choosing a delivery date, chose Tuesday through to Friday only. Remember someone needs to be in to receive the order, usually anytime between 8am and 5pm. Please give us alternative instructions, eg. “leave in shed” or “leave with neighbours”. Customers who are working, may find it better for us to deliver to their works address.
The Ugie Salmon Fish House was built in 1585 at the mouth of the River Ugie at Peterhead in the North East Scotland. It was originally built for George Keith, the Fifth Earl Marischal for curing and preserving game and fish. It is the only building in Peterhead surviving more than four centuries.

The Ugie Fish House overlooks the estuary of the River Ugie which is highly acclaimed for its excellent Salmon and Sea trout Fishing. Sadly due to Conservation measures, all catching of the iconic wild salmon in the sea and in the river is prohibited.

The Ugie Salmon Fish House is not a museum it is operated daily as a salmon and white fish smoking production unit. However the public are welcome to see this ancient building in its original setting and are given an opportunity to buy our products direct from The Fish House shop.
